hi.
my name is Amanda. i have recently decided to start a vegetable garden for the first time. and i just thought it would be some much more rewarding if i grew all my plants from seed. well, apparently i am (while ever-so enthusiastic) also a complete noob.
i have done A LOT of research for the various types of plants i want to grow and i quickly found that it was way more complicated than i thought. the different soils, temperatures, fertilizers, germination periods, water and light requirements, . . . it is getting to be a little overwhelming to say the least.
i am doing all of my gardening in containers because i live in the city and don't have access to an actual plot. i started with an herb windowsill kit (which i will tell you all about later). then i thought i would try tomatoes. then i thought that a salad bowl would be really cool, and why not grow some mint for fresh mojitos and what garden is complete without strawberries?
I NEED HELP!
i'll be posting about all of my plants and questions/concerns along the way. i am begging for any advice you can give me and i'd love to hear about your own gardening experiences.
