Buzzy Seeds Windowsill Kit

so this whole gardening idea came to me when i saw an herb garden grow kit for $5 at Walmart. i had always wanted to grow some herbs indoors and thought it was a perfect kit for a beginner. bu i quickly found that there was more to it.

the kit came with chive, curled parsley, and sweet basil seeds. the instructions said to plant 15 seeds of each. this seemed like a lot to me, but the instructions didn't say how many seedlings to thin later. i went to their website (buzzyseeds.com) for more help but the website isn't functioning properly. most the links i need don't work and the video just repeated the instructions but didn't provide any more info. i even emailed them for help but never got a response back. so overall, i am not very happy with this company.

something that started as an easy grow kit became complicated as i tried to research how many plants i should keep in the container. there are also no drainage holes in the container so i began to wonder if the plants were meant to stay in this container or if this was just a seed-starting kit.

since i wasn't finding the answers i needed, i decided to treat this as an experiment. i will transplant some parsley and basil to 3 inch containers and eventually pot them up to larger containers (i figured 3 plants to a pot was okay). the rest of the seedlings i will keep in the windowsill kit indoors. so we will see what happens.

it was while i was looking online for answers and gardening tips that i was inspired to try container gardening outside . . . and that's how this whole gardening craziness started.

  1. Similar experience... & website is "broken". Certainly not a good way to "grow" a business.

  2. I planted the Buzzy tomato grow kit in May 2013 and watered it and kept in sun until September 2013. If made plenty foilage but not one tomato. Has anyone had success with this?
